Quick and Easy Inspiration

This weekend, Michael and I finally got around to creating our much anticipated inspiration board.
It had to happen. . .

Magazine clippings, fabric samples, paint colors...they are invading our house!

Organization was a must.

Here was the inspiration for our inspiration:

It's nothing fancy.  Super simple....but here's the rundown:

Step 1:
Pick up some cork board tiles {I got these on sale at Target for $1.50 for a pack of 4!!}  Good, right?
We used 16 total tiles (4x4)

Step 2:
Use this:

{Liquid Nails}

to attach your cork to a sheet of plywood.  Let it dry for 30 minutes or so before moving on to step 3.

Step 3:
Cover the sheet of cork with your fabric of choice.  Ours {of course} was canvas drop cloth.
Have I mentioned how MUCH I love this stuff?

Step 4:
Once you've covered and stapled, you are ready to HANG and FRAME!
{Might need to use a level here....we had to re-hang TONS  a few times}

Quick side note:  a REALLY patient husband really comes in handy at times like these!  Thanks M!

Next....
We used molding to frame ours, but any sort of wood works!!
{Reclaimed wood might just be perfection for this!}

Step 5:  (this one's my favorite)
Fill up that once empty, un-inspired wall with all of those pictures that you just never get tired of looking at.

In order to help keep ours a BIT more organized, I cut up old flashcards to number our projects.
{We do have QUITE a few in the works}

That's really all there is to it!
A quick and fun way to get inspired!!

Be back soon with another fun project {maybe even one from the inspiration board...can you spot it??}
