Today I thought I'd share my second attempt at making
Pinterest POP off the screen
and make its way into our home with y'all today.

Since I'm trying not to spend A DIME on these projects, I found one that required only what we had on hand {and tweaked it a little}.
Here's the inspiration:

Chalkboard Map

Now, don't get me wrong - I LOVE the idea of a chalkboard map of the US and coloring in the states as you visit them together ....
but on this particular day, I wasn't feeling very artistic (actually at ALL!)

So... for now, we just have rules.
When we get a projector and can TRACE this very curvy country of ours, we'll create photo #2!

This is how ours all came together :

SO many possibilities for this guy!
Just for fun, here's a look at the desk you see pictured BEFORE the big makeover which included: scrubbing (LOTS of scrubbing), sanding, painting the top, and waxing the bottom.
{OH and see those doors? I'll be back soon to show you how we made a sliding barn door without that expensive track}
Sorry ...got side-tracked!!
Here's the AFTER one more time...
Just love the curve of the wood!
So unique!
A perfect start to Michael's room downstairs.
Happy Friday, y'all....
Enjoy the weekend!
