They say "Gratitude turns what we have into enough."
No words could ring more true for us today.
The signs of Spring and new life are just good for the soul.
Don't you agree?
It's easy, though, on days like this:
to be grateful.
When the sun is shining, signs of Spring popping out of every square inch of the yard
{AND the house is freshly cleaned.}
It's easy to see our Father in His creation in this moment. What I am praying for us all, though, is that this sense of hope and gratitude continues even when His presence is not so easily felt. Can we thank Him still in those moments?
When the rain blows back in, when our dog gets muddy paws all over our clean floors, when the alarm clock rings and we feel like the day ahead is too overwhelming to face.
It's in these moments when the sacrifice of praise and gratefulness become all the more important.
So today, I'm posting these pictures, mostly as a personal reminder to embrace gratitude all week long.
Let's not allow our circumstances to determine our joy this week. Let's decide to trust His plan no matter what comes.
After all, these shots are pretty solid proof that our Father knows what He's doing, yes?
The master decorator at work!
So enjoy the week ahead - no matter what it brings.
And while you're at it - bring a little Spring inside!
OK, so the hydrangeas aren't exactly REAL - but I pretend :)
OH gosh...I almost forgot the project part of this post!
Here's a glimpse at our latest makeover.
A freshly painted china cabinet to house the ever-growing collection of white dishes.
Before:
{Pretty - but the color of the wood clashed with our weathered farmhouse table}
After:
Ahhh....much better!
Thanks Annie Sloan for another Paris Gray transformation !
