Last weekend, my mom and I made our monthly trip to Metrolina Expo in Charlotte.
OH. MY. GOODNESS. The restraint it took not to buy everything in sight, deserves some kind of gold medal!
These were a few of the pieces that had me take a second (or tenth) look.
Considering we drove away without a loaded truck, I circled back around to them more than the appropriate amount, I am certain.
If only our home NEEDED them (which Michael repeatedly tells me is a completely relative term).
If we were a little bit closer to ready for our bathroom renovation, I would love for this to be the base for our sink. Such gorgeous original wood on top and a really great price at $500, I thought!
This is me circling back around for the third time. The poor vendors!
Absolutely adored these lamps made from French architectural elements....
And this mirror....WOW!
Next we stumbled upon the Turkish Oushak rugs that are on my dream list.
Nothing else that I've found matches the subdued palette and softness of the Oushak's lustrous wool.
Though extremely pricey, they are hand stitched, often taking YEARS to make!!
Well worth the investment, in my opinion.
This vendor had the exact rug I envision for our living room (middle rug handing below).
Unfortunately, it's too small.
On the bright side, though, I have now seen the rug in person that's been in my head for all this time.
Just a tad bigger and I'm sold!!
More gorgeous lamps that I don't need!
BUT I am thinking of a DIY version of these beauties!
(more to come on that later)
Thanks for window shopping with me!!
Until next time, Metrolina :)
