Elle's "Big Girl" Room Inspiration

I just walked into our little Elle's room and suddenly she didn't look like a baby anymore laying there sleeping soundly in that crib.
They grow so fast, don't they?
----
Everyone spoke these words to me in the first few months of her life; although, at that point, nothing seemed farther from the truth.  The first few weeks and months seem to be endless.  Long nights, lots of bottles, and TONS of diapers!  But we're past that now.  Now I know these wise people were telling the absolute truth: It goes so fast.
Before I get teary just thinking about it, I wanted to share my vision for Elle's "big girl" room.
Since we didn't find out if she was a boy or a girl when I was pregnant, I designed a very neutral nursery.  I still love everything about it.  In fact, if I could do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing.  Not one thing.
But suddenly I have a GIRL to design a room for.  And honestly, I think I can make a room that screams "Elle"now.

the spirit of the client....
And in this case, my tiniest client has such a vibrant and colorful personality, she must have a room that sparkles with whimsy - just like her.

If you've seen our home, you would know that this is a stretch for me to even THINK about.
I gravitate towards a neutral pallet ALWAYS!

Here's what I envision for this little client of mine:

Though only the rug and the "sparkle" sign are ordered, I think we have  have plenty of time to let the rest  come together naturally -collecting it over time- as I believe all rooms should be!

{Perhaps with an accent wall of grass cloth wallpaper - IF I can convince my husband that wallpaper really, truly is cool again}
