Sneak Peek: Industrial Chic Home Office

I've got some (lots) of catching up to do.... I promised this AGES ago....the big office reveal.
Hope you love it as much as we do around here...

I am THRILLED with the transformation
  from
cluttered and boring guest room
to
functional and {I hope} chic home office.

I really am making it my goal to start taking BEFORE pictures more often, so you can actually experience the fun "Cinderella moments" {as I like to call them} with me.
But for now, just trust me...it's a BIG (I mean BIG) improvement.

Let's start with the cozy corner where I flip through magazines and sip hot tea
(OK, I haven't actually done this in real life yet, but it seems like JUST the place for that .... one day)
We just took an old chair and recovered with a Shabby Chic slipcover from Target.
They really are my new favorite thing!
The mug (good prop, right?) is, of course, from Anthropologie.
Love this corner!
Next, we'll move to Michael's favorite part of the room....

He really does use it!  Not quite the same as the one in Restoration Hardware right now, but this one does the job quite nicely I think.
Here's a wider view.  Don't you just love these old library filing drawers?
Thanks, Mom and Dad!
I've even put them to good use..labeled all {most} of the drawers.  Maybe, just maybe this will help me stay organized.
OK....this is REAL exciting!  I can't wait for you to see the newest "Michael" original that has stolen my heart....
Just LOOK at that hardware!
LOVE!

Just had to let you appreciate that all by itself for a minute before showing you this....

All those hours in Home Depot on the snow day paid off.
Plumbing pipes + Barn Door= the PERFECT new desk.

There is one thing I am dreaming of to make it complete....

Those insanely perfect HUGE zinc letters from Anthropologie.
Currently out of the budget, but it makes me feel good just to include them in this post.
For now, they'll vicariously be a part of this office.
:)

Next up, the built in bookshelves in the closet.
With these little lovelies on them...

Be back soon to show you the latest "Crisp" treasures!
We found some good ones today....
