Bullseye!

When I first found these gems at my favorite architectural salvage spot in Greenville, I was SURE they had to come home with me.

What I wasn't so sure about was . . . WHAT to do with them?
Gorgeous? YES! But functional?

SO like most of my visionary projects, they sat around our house for about a year; until I realized the most elegant way to display them was on the wall, where they originally hung in the first place.
{Not proud of myself for the inordinate amount of time it took me to come to that conclusion!}

These beauties are called Bullseye Rosettes and were originally used as molding corners on doors and windows.  These were often used in the late 1800's - so needless to say, they've seen some history on the walls of some gorgeous home!

They're chippy and they're shabby - but after a long road as functional, deserving of some appreciation just for their well-worn beauty.

I do hope we did them justice:

They'd make a beautiful trio hanging over a bed or couch!

A real bullseye if I do say so myself!!
Headed to the shop soon . . .
